About Silvano
Silvano Hamisi Mvungi is the owner and chief guide of the Eastern African adventure and safari company Top of Africa Expeditions.

Silvano grew up in the hills of the Usambaras; an idyllic playground for someone of his adventurous nature. Exploring this environment became the catalyst that set him on the path for his life-long journey into adventure tourism. Achieving his full Guide license in 1997, Silvano has successfully guided several thousand individuals to the Roof of Africa with one of the highest summit success and safety records in Tanzania.

Sivano Mvungi has been instrumental in petitioning Tanzanian Government agencies to get Wings Of Kilimanjaro over the line and approved. Together, the Wings Of Kilimanjaro team today & the growing team of tomorrow owe a huge debt of gratitude to Silvano for his relentless efforts and the work still being done on the ground in Tanzania.
